This weekend marks my husband’s first official Father’s Day. In our household, occasions are often marked with favorite meals and some form of dessert. In my husband’s case, usually brownies.
So when I asked my husband what he wanted for his special day, I wasn’t surprised when he said steak!
When it comes to steak in our house, we ain’t no amateurs. My hubby is known to bring home 20 oz cuts, like for each of us! Crazy man. Our chop of choice these days, ribeye. With all that beautiful natural flavour from fat marbling, there is no need for rubs or marinades. Below I have provided a link to be sure your steak gets the best possible treatment as well as a potato recipe I plan on making Sunday.

HOW TO COOK THE PERFECT STEAK AT HOME

Steak and cast-iron go together like well, my husband and I. Can’t have one without the other. If you don’t currently own a skillet I highly recommend you fix that. For roughly $30 from your local Walmart or Williams Sonoma, you too can cook steak like a pro! Follow along with this great video from The Thrillist. This is exactly how I tackle the fairer meat at home. Also, be sure to check out their RoboPop post on tech gifts for dear ol’ dad.
